January 25, Jackson took one small step for a toddler, and one giant leap for toddlers everywhere.
He's been standing alone for weeks but has been too timid to actually take the plunge and move his pudgy little feet. Last night he decided he was ready.
We were all huddled around him in the kitchen when he took his first step. After that, he did it a few more times, with each step getting bigger and bigger. By the end of the night he was so fed up with us standing him up and having him do it "just one more time," he decided he was done. We were fortunate enough to get his last step on video, though.
Fun fact: Both Jimmy and Jackson took their first steps on January 25, and both boys did it when Mommy and Daddy were there to see it.
Congratulations, Jackson, on your big achievement! We're so proud of you!
